Selected Rarities Catalogue XII |
 |
Welcome once again to a varied offering of unusual
and rare B.N.A. It is hard to believe that this is already
our twelfth edition of Selected Rarities! Thanks to all
of you who ordered from the previous edition and
good luck in finding additional items for your
collection.
In this edition several items are worthy of special
mention. The used example of New Brunswick #4
(Item 1204) is an under-rated stamp. It catalogues
about the same as the bright red violet, but is at least
ten times scarcer based on the shillings that we have handled. In Newfoundland
you will find a complete sheet of the 10¢ Schooner (Item 1220). This beautiful
item is from the famous Sir Gawaine Baillie collection.
The catalogue continues with some unusually choice used Canada Pence Issues
(Items 1225-1234). If you need these stamps now is the time to consider a
purchase. The Canada Leaf Issue is well represented also with plate multiples as
well as spectacular and rare large die proofs. Lovers of the Admiral Issue will find
several nice items, particularly mint blocks of four. Perhaps the star of the entire
catalogue is Item 1293, a very rare inverted airplane variety, the first we have
handled.
Finding rare and elusive items is a constant task for us, involving millions of dollars
and thousands of travel miles. Please contact us whenever you have a specialized
collection available for disposal.

hinged; rarely seen on the Pence issues of New Brunswick.
