1911 Coronation Issue, set of
five different small trial colour
die proofs (stamp size; clear
margins) on the 6c, 8c, 9c, 12c
and 15c; engraved in deep
black on wove paper,
noticeably different in shade
and impression from the black
trial colour plate proofs that
are printed on thick white card
(included for comparison). A
very rare and desirable set for
the advanced collector, Very
Fine. These five values were
printed by Alexander and Son, whereas the remaining six values were printed by De La Rue.
