1871 Ten cent black Prince Albert on stout white wove paper, perf 12, a fabulous mint block of eight from the upper left sheet corner, plate imprint above Position 8 which also shows the rare Major Re-entry in “FOUND” of “NEWFOUNDLAND”; full original gum with only the upper right stamp hinged, all others NEVER HINGED. This block is among the largest surviving multiples and is especially desirable with the plate variety, a wonderful showpiece ideal for exhibition, choice Very Fine; 2008 Greene Foundation certificate.
