1876-1877 Fifteen cent greenish grey on stout wove paper, with horizontal weave, perf. 11 1/2 x 12; two unused examples, each showing portion of the rare script watermarked "Alexr. Pirie & Sons", along the top. These two stamps were originally a pair, and were reunited recently when the right-hand stamp was discovered. The stamp on the left is accompanied by 1989 and 2007 Greene Foundation certificates. The stamp on the right comes from A NEW DISCOVERY and is accompanied by a 2007 Greene Foundation certificate. To the best of our knowledge there are NO KNOWN MULTIPLES of the framed and rare Fifteen cent Script Watermark. These two examples can easily be rejoined and exhibited as a pair.
